Well, that was a mess. Yesterday saw the day start off with DR's. While Shelby was in her DR talking about taking the LSAT (law school admission test) someone in the control room hit the wrong button and broadcast her DR through the whole house. I'm not sure anyone on the LNJ knows what the LSAT is, but it could have, possibly did ruin Shelby's game of being the brain dead party girl.
BB then played a video of the Big Brother Shopping Network (BBSN) featuring items for sale. The house guests went into memorization mode studying the video. Then we had the first live eviction. Morgan gave her prepared speech ripping the house guests and then Alex was evicted by a 4-0 vote. Then they replayed the BBSN video a second time for the house. Shortly after that the doorbell rang and Rachel Reilly descended upon the house.
Everyone then went outside for the first HOH comp. This comp ended in a tie between Kryssie, Morgan, Whitney, and Danielle. It was time for the tiebreaker. The tiebreaker question was what is the total value of all of the items shown including the shipping and handling for each item. This would take some math to solve and frantic number crunching went on on the chalkboards for about a minute, then Rachel announced that she needed an answer now. Everyone but Danielle then scribbled down their best guess, but Danielle ignored Rachel and continued on with her math despite two additional warnings that Rachel needed an answer now. Finally Danielle completed her math and wrote down her answer. Not surprisingly, having taken longer than anyone else, Danielle was the closest. (Rules don't apply to Danielle in BBOTT. She sleeps when she wants and ignores BB constantly. BB started to tweak her a bit yesterday by sending her to the store room and up to an HOH lock down that they immediately cancelled just to get her out of bed. She ignores them otherwise.)
So with Danielle as HOH things looked bleak for Morgan and Shelby. Then came the Care Package. Morgan won it. This made Morgan safe and gave her the POV to use on whoever she chose. This annoyed the LNJ side of the house enormously as their two targets were now safe and they'd have to pick off one of their own.
Danielle met up with the girls in the bathroom to talk over the situation. Morgan and Shelby said they'd like to have Jason and Justin as the nominees. Danielle was okay with Justin going up but felt they could work with Jason and wanted him kept safe. Jason joined the discussion and agreed that he'd work with them if he was kept safe and he didn't mind Justin going as they couldn't beat him in the final three. It was agreed between the four (Jason, Danielle, Morgan and Shelby) that Justin would be the target and evicted. Whitney would be put up alongside of him as a pawn.
The nominations were made then Jason and Danielle decided to change their mind. They met with the girls again and informed them that they wanted to keep Justin and get rid of Whitney. The girls were not happy about this. Not ten minutes earlier they'd had an agreement and now Danielle already wanted to break it. Much crying went on between Danielle, Jason and Kryssie and then the vote to evict came up and it was a tie vote, 2-2. Danielle broke the tie by evicting Whitney.
Now came the second HOH comp of the night. This was a laser reflecting comp where the house guests had to use mirrors housed in a box to reflect a laser beam from an emitter to a target around multiple obstacles. Jason went first and turned in a time of a little over eight minutes. Morgan went next and was slower. Then Kryssie went and was also slower. Then it was Shelby's turn. She was doing okay then one of the mirrors broke and we had a period of fish while BB tried to fix the mirror. She finished her leg in a time longer than Jason's but she was ahead of Jason before the mirror broke. Then came a long, long delay as BB tried to fix the mirror. Something like four hours passed before Justin finally took his turn. (Which literally just finished as I'm typing this. Justin timed out.)
Now we're awaiting the official results. In all likelihood they'll declare Jason the winner even though Shelby was ahead of him time-wise before her mirror broke. This never-ending night still goes on as I type this. The house guests should get called to the yard soon to reveal the times. It'll be interesting to see if they adjust Shelby's time to remove the time when her mirror wasn't working properly, but being BB they probably won't. We could see a new comp slapped together to replace this broken one completely and let everyone compete evenly, but that's unlikely. In all likelihood, BB will declare Jason (their golden child this season) the winner and Morgan and Shelby will be nominated for eviction and one of them will be going home next week.
Shelby is not a happy camper. She's losing everyone around her. BB is sabotaging her game in multiple ways. It's just been a miserable day for her all the way around. If not for the Care Package she might have walked out of the game. (In fact, we haven't seen her on the feeds for a while now, so she may be taking some convincing to stay in the game. She's really been played today by BB.)
