Thursday was a typical quiet day in the house as the house guests recovered from the recent HOH comp and wondered what the winner planned to do. Shelby soon put us out of our suspense by saying she wanted one of the two "J's" (Jason or Justin) gone this week. Judging by the polling it won't be Jason as he seems to be leading in the polls for America's Care Package which is the Co-HOH this week. Jason's fan base is really rallying for him this week. Whether they're really voting for him in the real vote or just the polls is hard to tell, but he'll likely win if the polls can be believed.
Justin could still in some trouble however as Jason had a long, long chat with Kryssie in the backyard yesterday where he made it clear that Justin was playing his own game and not the team game, and that they'd have to get rid of Justin. Kryssie resisted saying it was too soon, but Jason persisted. He feels that Justin intentionally threw the HOH comp by only putting up one name each time and in one case not even putting up one name. Jason seems to feel that Justin is just using their alliance to keep himself safe while not contributing anything to the alliance and he wants him gone before the final three. This week might be too soon even for Jason, but we'll have to see.
We don't know how the nominations will be made this week. We don't know if Jason and Shelby will work together on nominations. We don't know if the Safety Ceremony is still in place. If the Safety Ceremony is still the way nominees are made (and it could be) then Shelby would keep Morgan and Alex safe while Jason would likely keep Kryssie safe, but who among Danielle, Justin and Whitney would he keep safe? (Jason doesn't think Whitney has really joined them as she won't tell him what the name of the girls' alliance is.) Whichever of those three he didn't keep safe he'd have to manage carefully, or hope they got voted out. I suspect the Safety Ceremony route is the way they'll go. This makes the Co-HOH safe and allows them to protect two allies which is pretty powerful at this stage of the game. I'm not sure how they'd do the re-nominating if someone came down, but that's production's headache and not mine. (Coin flip between the two HOH's? Draw a chip from the bag with one of their names on it?)
There's also the possibility of each HOH being told to nominate one person, but they haven't done nominations in that manner all season. That would expose both sides to more danger however as no one could be protected initially. We'll likely find out more when the Care Package arrives this afternoon.
Jason's LNJ side of the house has reverted to their former name calling, insulting selves again after a brief respite when they lost a few votes. Jason's now convinced that Neeley must have been doing something behind their backs and that's why she got voted out to protect the LNJ from her.
It's nearly impossible to predict who the nominees will be this week without knowing how the nominations will be made. If the nominations come down after two safety ceremonies, then Alex and Morgan will be safe and Kryssie will be safe, leaving some combination of Justin, Danielle, and Whitney as the nominees. If each HOH is allowed to name a nominee then it's likely to be Alex and Justin as the nominees. (Jason's side is still convinced Shelby's an idiot and Alex is the brains of that side of the house.)
We could see the two HOH's work together and come up with a common enemy. Neither Jason nor Shelby want to have Justin in the final three. They don't think they can beat him if he makes the final three. Could Jason handle the fallout of helping to get rid of Justin? Could they put up Justin and Whitney saying they're too close and need to be broken up? Technically it would be one from each side and would make some sense for both sides. Jason's side could then vote to keep Whitney, hoping that would lock her in on their side.
We'll know more once we learn how the nominations are to be made this week.We should get some indication of that from the Care Package when it's delivered. I wouldn't be shocked to see Whitney and Justin as the nominees however. Jason wants Justin gone at some point in the near future and Shelby wants him gone now. This would be a big game move for Jason. He doesn't believe Whitney has truly flipped since she won't tell him her old alliance name, so he could justify her being on the block. We could be seeing Justin's last week in the house this week. With just four weeks left in the game it's smart to start getting rid of anyone you don't think you can beat. Wait too late and you may just find yourself in the final three with someone you can't beat.
