Alas poor Shelby! Her long sought after reign as HOH was stolen away from her yesterday by the Co-HOH Care Package that was delivered to Jason. Now, instead of having sole power to nominate house guests this week, her power has been halved. This has not gone over well with Shelby.
The good news is that BBOTT will still use the Safety Ceremony this week, so Shelby gets to protect her two most valued allies. Her original plan to up both Jason and Justin is now gone however and unless she catches a few breaks there's nearly no chance she can get out Justin.
Lots of scheming went on after the delivery of the Care Package. Danielle created a roughly five thousand page detailed plan of what the best move for LNJ is with plots, subplots, twists and turns, and unexpected twists. The Ball Smashers quickly figured out that America's Nominee and the POV were the keys this week.
Danielle's enormously complicated plan involves her being Jason's nominee, which made life a lot easier for Jason since she basically told him to put her up, Whitney being Shelby's nominee, and has Danielle winning POV and Jason edging out Shelby in the POV comp so Jason can then take down Danielle and put up Alex or Morgan in her place. Danielle's plan assumes America will nominate Alex since we nominated Scott last week. (Kryssie is leading in the pre-vote polling however.) Under Danielle's plan, the LNJ will have Danielle, Whitney, Jason, and they hope another LNJ member drawn at random as the final POV player competing against just Shelby and Alex as America's Nominee. The four on two odds would favor the LNJ side.
The Ball Smasher side hopes Kryssie will be America's Nominee and it's likely either Morgan or Alex will be put up by Shelby to try and have her at least one strong player in the POV comp with Shelby. They hope to keep Whitney on their side by not nominating her. (Shelby still wants to see who America nominates as Have Nots today, but there's no vote as only three house guests are eligible. I suspect they'll say that on the card, to take that out of the equation on who to put up.)
Jason and Shelby had some one on one time and Shelby agreed not to go after Kryssie, who Jason wants to protect, and Jason agreed not to target Morgan who Shelby wants to protect. At this moment it looks like the nominees this week will be Danielle and Alex with America nominating Kryssie. That makes the POV comp insanely high stakes this week. Only one name will be drawn for the extra POV player and that will be either Morgan, Whitney, or Justin.
So things are set up for a classic showdown on Monday. If Alex wins the POV and uses it on herself, and Shelby finishes ahead of Jason in the POV comp, then Shelby could nominate Justin as the replacement and get out her target. She'd have votes from Alex, Morgan and possibly Whitney, against just America's vote. Even if Whitney flipped and voted to keep Justin, Shelby would be the tie breaker. The same scenario works if Shelby, Morgan, or Whitney wins the POV (if Morgan or Whitney are picked to play in the POV.) This is the best case scenario for Shelby and the Ball Smashers.
If Danielle wins POV and takes herself down, but Shelby beats Jason, then Shelby still gets to name the replacement. Then the voting gets more complicated though as the LNJ side would have Danielle now voting and with America and if they could keep Whitney on their side, they could get out Alex. Whitney thinks Alex is her biggest threat in the game. (Jason and Justin are actually more likely to win than Alex, but Whitney doesn't see it that way.) A wildcard here is that Jason wants Justin gone before too much longer. This same scenario applies if another LNJ member wins POV and Shelby ekes past Jason. Unless they used the POV on Kryssie, Shelby could name the replacement and Justin could be gone.
Now if Jason ekes past Shelby in the POV comp and has the ability to name a replacement it's likely bad for the Ball Smashers unless Jason sees it as the opening he needs to get out Justin. At this point of the game Jason wouldn't mind getting out either Justin or Danielle too much. He doesn't want either in his final three and needs them gone, but would likely prefer someone from the other side to take them out.
We're set up now for a very complicated Monday with lots of pieces floating around. We're likely to see Alex and Danielle as the two nominees at this moment. Kryssie will likely be America's Nominee. That leaves Morgan, Whitney, and Justin as the possible sixth players. The POV comp will be hard fought. The fight between Shelby and Jason will be the most intense. Whichever of those two ends up ahead in the comp will win the power to nominate a replacement if needed. That's huge this week. At least those two are fairly evenly matched. A win by Morgan (assuming her name is drawn) would largely keep the Ball Smashers intact. She could use the POV on Alex and Alex, Morgan and Shelby would all be safe this week. Jason's side would have to decide if they would vote out Whitney, Danielle, or Kryssie. It could very well be bye, bye Danielle under that scenario. Monday will be crazy.
In the house, Justin is really getting on everyone's nerves. His eating as a Have Not, napping, singing, interrupting everyone else when they're talking, throwing comps, and countless warnings from BB has much of the house wanting him to get penalized, but BB has so far resisted. I'm not sure anyone would miss him all that much if he was gone at this point. I'd be surprised if he survives the double eviction coming up. Both sides have drawn a bulls-eye on him. He may not survive this week depending on how things go down on Monday.
This is the most complicated week in BB history. We've got tons of options for how things will play out. We've got an unknown in America's Nominee, an unknown in who wins the POV comp, an unknown in who finishes first between Shelby and Jason, and an unknown in who America will vote to evict. It's all going to become a bit clearer on Monday, but this is one complicated week for the house guests. The only people truly safe this week are Shelby and Jason. Everyone else is at risk.
Thanks for this summary of the voting/outcome scenarios this week. I was behind and not following the logic from tweets. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a very complicated week for BBOTT. By the end of today it should be a lot clearer how things will go.
