Happy Labor Day readers! Nothing much changed yesterday in the old BB house. Nicole and Corey got into a spat about something and Nicole went into her sulking/whining mode. Corey eventually relented and got some "cuddling" from Nicole. Nicole is now a bit worried about how her play this year is being portrayed. She doesn't want to be viewed as being mean or nasty. Corey assures her that she's being given a sweet edit. (She's not. Her edit in last night's show was pretty brutal while James and Natalie got the golden edit.) Nicole and Corey cleaned up the kitchen a bit with Nicole whining about the ants and whatnot in the process.
Paul and Victor decided (mostly Paul) to try and drive a wedge between James and Natalie. They asked James up to the HOH room to "clear the air." It had nothing to do with clearing the air and was completely about trying to drive a wedge between James and Natalie for some reason. It didn't work. James and Natalie are still as close as ever.
There was lots of domino playing, some pool playing and tons of lying around doing nothing yesterday. Today we'll get the POV ceremony where nothing will change and then we'll be on cruise control until Thursday.
From Thursday on is where things get interesting. If Paul wins HOH he'll likely put up James and one of Corey/Nicole. If Nicole/Corey wins HOH then James and one of Paul/Victor will go up. In each case they'll swear James is the target, but I suspect they'll use the opportunity to break up the opposite couple given the chance. If James wins HOH and follows Natalie's advice he'll put up one from each couple and then see how the week plays out and evict whoever he wants to evict. One nominee from each side largely guarantees that James has the deciding vote. That gives him a lot of power this week if he wins HOH and it sounds like pretty much everyone else is throwing this HOH so they can compete next week, so James has a good shot at winning. The POV comp this coming week will be pretty crucial. If a nominee or James wins, then the partner of the person on the block goes up. If the partner of the nominee wins POV and uses it, then the partner of the HOH goes up, and likely gets voted out.
So the rest of this week is a snooze, but from Thursday night on things get interesting. Next week should be a Fast Forward week too, so lots of stuff will be going on in a short period. The TV schedule posted on Hamsterwatch shows that next Tuesday (the 13th) is an eviction show that will be taped Monday (the 12th) and then another eviction on Wednesday the 14th. Then no show on Thursday due to the NFL. Then a Friday show that may be the typical Sunday season recap show since there's no show on Sunday. That last week with just three house guests is always deadly dull, but we'll have a burst of activity leading into that, so that's good.
Paul/Victor/Nicole/Corey think they're fooling Natalie and she thinks she's staying. Meanwhile Natalie is picking out which outfit to wear when she meets Julie as she knows she's the one leaving. Natalie arguably has had the best feel for the house since the mid-point of the season. She's been led astray on occasion from doing what her instincts told her and that's gotten her in some trouble, but she's known more about the house than the rest of them. She knows she's going out this week and they aren't fooling her.
What we'll find out this week is if James and Nicole really do have a secret final two. James will survive this week. Will he favor the Nicole/Corey side or the Paul/Victor side? Natalie has encouraged him to side with Victor, but I think James trusts Nicole more. We'll have to see what happens.
