Yesterday saw the POV ceremony take place where the POV wasn't played. Things are largely on cruise control now. Natalie is the target for Nicole and Corey and since they have two votes and only two votes are needed to evict, Natalie will be a goner. There was a glimmer of hope for Natalie for a few minutes yesterday when Paul briefly flipped to wanting to keep Natalie, but Nicole quickly reversed that and Natalie is now pretty firmly the target for eviction.
Nicole and Corey are planning to pull James in and take him to the final three with them and use him to take out Paul and Victor. We're apt to see a few swings here and there, but the game looks like it'll come down to James/Nicole/Corey going against Paul/Victor and with Victor out of the next HOH comp as the outgoing HOH, this is a good opportunity for the James/Nicole/Corey side to get rid of one of Paul/Victor.
Nicole, Corey, Paul and Victor are all inventing stuff and exaggerating stuff to try and justify getting their way in the game. Everything gets spun to death and exaggerated to the point where no one knows the truth anymore. We've entered the silly season where the stress of the game is causing all kinds of chaos. Nicole is trying to convince James that keeping Corey over Victor is the only reason James is still in the game. That had they evicted Corey that Paulie would have come back in the house and James and Natalie would have been gone.
Truth be told, at this stage of the game it's largely an individual game. Alliances have little real value other than to make you more of a target. If you don't win HOH, you'd better win POV. There's no comp throwing now. (Well, there shouldn't be but with these bozos who knows?) If Paul and Victor want to survive this week they need Paul to win HOH. If he doesn't win HOH then Paul/Victor will almost certainly be the nominees and one of them will be going bye-bye. Even if one comes down and someone else goes up, the best they could hope for would be a tie vote and the HOH who nominated Paul/Victor would be the tie breaker.
The next time things get interesting is Thursday night. The next HOH will control a lot of what happens. It will likely be a three on one competition with James, Nicole, and Corey going against Paul. A James win would scramble things the most. James is under orders from Natalie not to work with Nicole and Corey, but James trusts them more than Paul/Victor. There will be some fierce campaigning from both sides if James wins HOH. We're only about fifteen days from the finale now and the stress is higher than it's ever been.
If Paul/Victor had a brain, and that's debatable, they'd try to keep Natalie as she's more likely to work with them. Nicole and Corey should want to keep James as he's more likely to work with them. Nicole and Corey control the vote this week and Corey really wants Natalie gone, so Natalie will likely be going no matter what.
The next few days will just be more of the same. The target, currently Natalie, will be bashed nonstop to make sure she stays the target. Both sides will be trying to scoop up James, though Nicole and Corey are off to a head start. Then everyone will be watching the next HOH to see who wins and who turns on who.
