And the last dull day of the week has now passed. The big news yesterday was BB repossessing the dominoes and replacing them with playing cards. This was likely done to make life easier for the BB sound techs as the clicking of the dominoes was very obvious on the audio.
Natalie and James continue to run hot and cold, but they're generally getting along pretty well now. Natalie knows she's going and that seems to be a very accurate assessment. Nicole and Corey are keeping in touch with James to make it clear they want to work with him. James seems to be going along with that plan. Paul and Victor are assuming they're safe this week as long as James doesn't win HOH. They don't realize that Nicole and Corey are gunning for them.
The HOH comp for tonight is believed to be the slip and slide/tea cup comp. We'll have Corey, James, Nicole and Paul competing. Paul should win that comp if that's the comp as he's got skating experience and is reasonably fit. The problem is Paul is so focused on next week's HOH that he's hinted he'd rather lose HOH this week and rely on the POV to stay safe. Victor's not a fan of Paul's plan as he can't play for HOH and would rather be safe with Paul as HOH. Paul seems to feel that they'll be safe this week no matter what as James will be the target.
In reality even a Paul win of HOH isn't a guarantee of safety for Victor. If Paul wins HOH and nominates James and Nicole, but Corey wins POV and uses it on Nicole then Corey and Nicole would be the votes and Paul would have no choice but to put up Victor. Nicole and Corey would likely vote out Victor and then it would be three on one against Paul.
Despite the bullhorn shouter warning the house that James and Nicole have a pre-show alliance, the house largely seems to be ignoring the threat. Realistically, Corey, Paul and Victor should be very worried about that and considering keeping Natalie instead, but they aren't even considering it. (Natalie would also likely be good in the slip and slide comp, and would be on Paul and Victor's side, so they're really dumb to not even consider this.)
Things will move fast now for a few days. We'll have the HOH comp tonight. Nominations will take place later tonight or early tomorrow. The POV comp will likely take place later tomorrow with the POV ceremony either late Saturday or Sunday. Then on Monday they'll pre-tape the eviction we'll see on Tuesday and have the next HOH comp. Then on Tuesday they'll have the next POV comp and ceremony, then on Wednesday we get down to the final three. Then a whole week of nothing much happening before the finale the following Wednesday.
