The Safety Ceremony took place last night and Shelby was made safe first, followed by Justin, Monte, and Scott. That left Danielle and Shane as the nominees. They immediately left the kitchen in a huff and retreated to their bedroom. The rest of the house thanked Alex for keeping them safe. Shane thought it was a stupid move to put them up as Alex has no one on her side and is all alone in the house. (For the record, Alex has Shelby, Monte, Morgan, Scott solidly on her side and has also gotten semi-firm commitments from Justin and Neeley to break up Shane and Danielle.) Danielle then ultimately decided Alex must have done it because Shelby wanted it done and Alex went along with Shelby. Thus began the night of Shelby bashing.
Jason declared that the other side (Alex's side of the house) was "playing hard, but playing with terrible people." (Yeah. Right. They're the terrible people.) Jason then went on to say he hates Monte, Scott and Shelby the most. He wants to find the bungalow where Shelby lives and burn it to the ground so Shelby would be homeless. He wants to go pots and pans on Shelby tomorrow morning. He called Shelby ugly and an "attention thirsty sl*t." He describes Shelby as "Satan's daughter" and Scott as "Mussolini's son." Neeley, who had been largely neutral then called the girls on the other side (Alex, Morgan, Shelby, Whitney) as "crusty, dusty, and musty." Jason then added that he wishes the pyramid had crushed Scott today. Jason then called Shelby a want to be c-word and hopes people throw drinks on her. Earlier Shelby had said that Krackle bars were her favorite candy so Jason then went into the store room and brought out all four bags of chocolates and opened them up and removed every Krackle bar that he put into a trash bag and hid the trash bag under a sofa in the yoga room. Jason and his allies have also been intentionally consuming the Have Not add in foods (salsa, olives, pickles, and chocolate milk) to further deprive the Have Nots (Monte, Scott and Morgan.) He then described Shelby as trash. Kryssie and Jason then hoped that the "good people" who they assume they are, make it to the end.
Time for another editorial opinion here. Let's see, there's a group of people who use unfounded accusations of racism, sexism and bigotry to defame others. They call the other side vile names. They hide food and purposely eat the add-ins for the Have Not food to further deprive the Have Nots. They think burning down someone's home is funny. They hurl endless insults and slurs of the most vile nature at the other side. The other side is simply playing the game in a clean fashion, winning comps and nominating the threats in the game. Call me crazy, but I may have a different opinion than Jason and Kryssie on who the "good side" of the house is. I cast all 40 of my votes for Kryssie as America's nominee, but the online polling indicates that Monte will be the nominee. Why anyone supports Jason and his vile crew is a mystery to me, but it was a mystery to me when he was on regular BB two years ago. I just don't get why people like/support him. I'd be hard pressed not to send him flying off the balcony if I was in the house with him. End of editorial.
Today we'll find out America's Nominee (likely Monte) then the picking of the POV players will take place. At 4:00 PM ET the POV comp will take place. Reportedly this will be a prize/punishment comp based on the golf stuff the house was given to practice with. I'm guessing it will be a head to head match-up with the winner advancing and the loser picking a prize. In a perfect world Alex will draw her allies to compete with her for the POV against Danielle and Shane. At the very least it looks like it will be Alex and Monte on Alex's side.
Ideally America will nominate Kryssie as America's Nominee, but the Jason supporters have been dominating the vote so far. Assuming Monte is the nominee, he, Alex, or someone on her side needs to win POV and take down Monte or he'll be voted out. In theory Monte could win the vote, but it would be unlikely. Justin doesn't trust Danielle and Shane knowing they tried to make a deal with Alex earlier in the week, so his vote could go her way. Neeley likes Monte and could be split off. But, I highly doubt that either would break from their group and face the wrath of the group. They know, and have seen firsthand, how their group treats those outside the group and I doubt that they wish to be on the receiving end of that anger.
The game is now officially about as ugly as any recent season has been. The house is sharply divided with one side smearing those on the other side, while the other side is mostly playing a clean, strategic game. This is rapidly becoming a good versus evil season like season eleven. The problem is America has, until now anyway, favored the darker side of the house. The good news is that Alex and her allies are generally rising in the online polling as the game goes on and we could see things flip at some point where those playing a clean game actually start to get rewarded for their play. They just have to keep some numbers on their side until that flip comes along. Things don't look great for Alex's side right now. They pretty much have to win every comp while America rewards and protects Jason's side of the house.
