So close, but so far. The girls tried to pull off a big game move yesterday by switching the vote to Danielle from Kryssie. They focused their initial attention on getting Monte on board with the plan and succeeded in doing so by late in the day. They thought they could get Scott to vote with them and they'd be able to vote out Danielle.
Danielle meanwhile had plans of her own and orchestrated her own big game move by switching the target from Kryssie to Cornbread. She immediately set her sights, and those of her allies on getting Scott's vote. They made it clear to Scott that they had the votes to evict Cornbread (Neeley, Jason, Shane, Justin and likely America since America nominated Cornbread.) Scott then signed on despite telling us in his live DR that Cornbread is still one of those he is allied with.
The girls casually approached Scott about the possibility of voting out Danielle and he flat out rejected it saying he was voting out Cornbread due to some of the stuff Cornbread was saying. He also believed that if he voted out Danielle it would make him a big target. (Not really. The other side is pretty focused on getting out one of the girls if they get power this week with Shelby being a huge target.) Scott didn't know when he said that however that the girls had Monte on their side and he was okay with the plan.
The house is pretty seriously divided right now with Neeley, Danielle, Kryssie, Jason, Justin, and Shane on one side, and Monte, Alex, Morgan, Whitney, Cornbread, and Shelby on the other, with Scott largely floating along on his own between the two sides. The next few HOH winners will decide a lot of what happens in the game. Some on both sides have somewhat mixed loyalties and could move across if things start to go badly for their side.
The live DR's last night were pretty good and tonight we have a live eviction and then the live HOH comp. I suspect we'll see at least one more attempt made to flip the vote before the live vote tonight. I don't think the girls will give up on possibly getting Danielle out, but who knows. If they fail then it's likely to be a unanimous house vote to evict Cornbread. (Live feed watchers won't mind that as his snoring is really annoying on the feeds.) It should be a fun night tonight. We get our first ever live eviction and they may even let us watch the rehearsals leading up to the live show.
I've been very pleased with this season of Big Brother. They got a good cast with good characters. The format seems to be working quite well. We're not getting endless hours of fish. All in all I'd have to say BB OTT is a success. I don't know what effect it's having on the CBS All Access subscriptions, but I suspect they had fewer cancellations after BB 18 ended and may be getting new subscribers back.
