Saturday was a generally quiet day in the BB OTT house. They got locked down for much of the early part of the day due to a drone hovering around outside. Once the drone moved off the house guests spread out a bit and more game talk resumed. Later in the day they had the first Safety Ceremony.
At this time the alliances are: the OTT Jamboree with Shelby, Jason, Kryssie, Justin and Scott, but Jason now suspects that Scott and Shelby are rats, so that alliance may be pulling Danielle and Neeley to replace them. Scott was trying to subtly steer Monte away from nominating Jason, but he was so subtle Monte didn't pick up on it, nor did most of us watching until Scott told us in an aside that he liked Jason and was working Monte to keep him. Neeley is largely alliance free at this point. There's a four person alliance of Monte, Shane, Alex and Whitney. Everyone but Shane in that alliance is concerned about how close Shane and Danielle are getting. There's the boys alliance of Shane, Monte, Scott, and Cornbread. Monte and Cornbread are both worried about Shane's closeness to Danielle and also Scott's true loyalty. Shelby is in an alliance with Morgan. We have the sisters, Alex and Morgan allied. And finally we have a four girl alliance of Whitney, Morgan, Alex and Shelby. Shelby's not really trusted by anyone too much right now, but seems more inclined to the girls' side of the house at present. (Shelby knows Jason is the target this week, but hasn't told him.)
Cornbread is starting to develop a paranoia that rivals Davonne's. The only person in the alliance he isn't questioning is Monte and that's because Monte is the HOH and he needs someone to run to with all of his conspiracy theories.
Shelby accidentally dropped her microphone into the pool and the house joked that she was a goner as a result. They all told her goodbye and they'd miss her as she trudged in to tell the DR what happened, but there was no intent to destroy the microphone, so she was given a spare mic while they dried her mic pack out and all was good. Shelby's a bit of a klutz.
The mystery of the Safety Ceremony was finally revealed last night. BB called everyone to the store room to pick up their "Block Pass" which is a whitish box on a necklace they have to wear for the safety ceremony. The HOH then gets locked into the HOH room and has to wait until BB tells him to make a selection on the board with all of the house guests photos on it for safety. (The HOH's photo is already lit up in green when the ceremony starts.) The HOH then pushes the button under the photo and the photo turns green and the block pass of that house guest (which are all labeled) then turns green also indicating they're safe. (Well, safe-ish. They can still go up as a replacement should the POV be played.) Monte made Neeley safe first, then followed that with Whitney, Cornbread, Morgan and Shane. It's kind of a boring thing for the HOH as he's just pacing around the room killing time for a half hour as he can't push the buttons until BB tells him to.
Jason is still the clear target for eviction this week. Kryssie is next in line. They'll likely be the two nominees by the end of the second safety ceremony tonight, though Shelby is still a possible nominee, but not a target. After that ceremony the online voting starts for America's nominee and Cornbread seems to be the Internet's choice for the third nominee.
I don't believe the house knows we nominate someone yet, so that will get their attention. Sometime between tonight and four PM (ET) tomorrow the house will learn there's a fourth nominee and who it is. Cornbread, Shane and Danielle are the names you hear mentioned the most, so it's likely to be one of them. They have to be up at ten AM in the morning (BB time, 1PM ET) so I'd expect that to be announced shortly after ten to give them time for the latest nominee to wonder what that means.. Then at 4 PM ET tomorrow they have the POV comp. In the three hours between waking up and the POV comp they have to announce America's nominee for eviction, and pick the POV players, so tomorrow will be a pretty busy day for them.
All in all the game is progressing nicely. The bed shortage got a tick better with the HOH room opened, and will get even better when the Have Not room is opened. We have no Have Nots this week (at least so far) so we've got twelve house guests crammed into the beds in the London and Tokyo bedrooms. Monte's not sharing the HOH bed with anyone so even though we only have thirteen house guests with no Have Nots and no one sharing the HOH bed, the bedrooms are more crowded than they'd be with sixteen house guests in a normal BB. (We typically start out with four Have Nots and the HOH often/typically shares their bed with one or two others creating more room downstairs.) Cornbread is a loud snorer too, so anyone sleeping in his vicinity is not getting a lot of sleep.
The house is burning through the food at a frantic pace and they'll soon be down to eating nothing but hot dogs. They don't expect to be restocked before Wednesday, but they're running out of a lot of stuff already. BB may take pity on them and restock sooner. The only thing on the schedule for today is the second half of the Safety Ceremony and that'll take place a ten tonight (ET.)
Alex is doing a good job of working the house and forming allies. She's connected with Cornbread since they're both Christians and she's using that to stay close to him. We've got some serous players in the house this year. Whitney, Alex and Scott all know the game inside and out and are all playing hard, but doing so subtly to stay under the radar. Monte doesn't know the game and is playing too hard and too openly and he'll be a huge target very soon. It's a fun season to watch.
