Yesterday saw the house stay relatively calm as everyone waited for the second safety ceremony. The Krackel war didn't resume and everyone was mostly chill through the day. The HOH camera made another appearance and more photos were taken. Danielle vowed when she wins HOH she'll only take photos of her side of the house and not anyone else. Scott spent a lot of time rehearsing his speech while Alex and Shelby experimented with slop creations. Justin continued to float between the two sides and got himself in a little trouble when he told Shelby she'd have been one of his nominees if he'd won the first HOH. I'm pretty sure that's moved him well up the hit list for Shelby. She'd been pretty sure she and Justin were pretty good with one another. (The rest of Jason's side refers to Shelby as the wounded gazelle they want to take down.)
Finally it was time for the safety ceremony. Jason's side of the house didn't mingle for part one of the safety ceremony after doing so for each of the two previous weeks of the safety ceremony, so the girls went outside to be on the couches with them for part two of the ceremony. At the end of the safety ceremony, Kryssie and Neeley were the nominees. Neither one took it well despite knowing that's exactly what the outcome would be and why. (Scott had told Jason and Jason had relayed the word to the rest of his crew.) Scott then came down and explained his reasoning to the house and the two sides then split up and went about their business. Jason's side launched into several tirades about how the girls only came out to see their faces and watch them get put up. Neeley was mad that she was being made a pawn. Kryssie was sure Scott broke the rules and wanted him tossed from the game.
Kryssie then went into the store room and pulled out the rule book to read the rules and became even more convinced she was right. Scott had said that Kryssie wasn't good in certain social situations (the pool photo shoot is what he was referring to) but Kryssie interpreted it as being in relation to her behavior after someone dared to touched her soiled underwear bag. She claims she was ready to quit the game after someone moved her bag of undies. She apparently believes Scott was attempting to encourage her to quit the game and that's against the rules, so Scott should be punished severely. The DR didn't agree which made Kryssie even angrier.
Jason's side of the house is more than a little tired of Danielle and wouldn't really mind losing her at this point, but want to use the showmance as a meat shield to go further in the game. They think Alex and Scott are in an alliance but they don't think the other girls (Whitney, Shelby, Morgan) are allied with anyone and are floating. They think Alex is the brains of the Scott/Alex alliance. Scott thinks he can pull in Jason and Justin to his side and thinks Kryssie is at the bottom of the other side's alliance. (Justin by the way is trying to stay in the middle and let each of the sides kill each other while he stays safe.) After several more hours of calling the other side of the house every name imaginable, Jason's side went to bed to get ready for today's revealing of America's Nominee and the picking of the POV players followed by the POV comp.
The early polling looks pretty positive for Danielle being America's Nominee, but the polls were wrong on Kryssie being a Have Not, so you can't trust them too much. (Kryssie's meltdown when she's a Have Not will be glorious to behold. She's not the most mentally stable person to begin with, so her being a Have Not should be a lot of fun.) The voting ends at noon today (ET) and then at/around one (ET) today the reveal of America's Nominee will take place followed immediately by the picking of the POV players. I anticipate Scott picking Alex and maybe Morgan as the players, assuming he's got the dexterity to feel their names on the chips. Then at four (ET) the POV comp will take place. Sometime before the POV comp Scott will have to declare which POV they're playing for. It won't be the Diamond POV which would give whoever won it the power to name a replacement. It's currently planned to be the Double POV which lets two people win POV. Scott made that call assuming one of his side would be the America's Nominee. When he sees that Danielle (hopefully) is the nominee, he may change that plan to the Boomerang POV where there's just one winner but they get to use the POV twice. That would keep Scott's side absolutely safe if Danielle is America's Nominee.
If Danielle is America's Nominee it'll be interesting to see how her side of the house handles that bit of news. With only two POV's possibly in play and three of Jason's side on the block and Jason, Justin and Shane as possible replacements, it'll be an uneasy afternoon for them. Scott's side is anticipating one of them being on the block and they're mentally prepared for it having gone through it the first two weeks. Jason has been telling everyone he's the glue that hold his side of the house together and if things break right (Double POV in play) with Shane and Danielle winning POV, we would see Jason and Justin going up as the replacements. I doubt that they'd muster the votes to evict Jason, but who knows. The worst case scenario for Scott if he chooses the Double POV would be if two of Jason's side that weren't nominated (say Shane and Jason) won the POV's forcing Scott to put up Justin and someone from his side. The Boomerang POV would prevent that possibility though as only one person could win it and even if Shane won it and used it on Danielle and Kryssie, Scott would still have Justin and Jason as possible replacements.
Monday's are an active day in the old BB OTT house and today could be especially interesting to watch. We could finally see one of Jason's side as the only option to leave the house on Wednesday. How his side handles that will be interesting to observe.
