Well, that was fun! Yesterday saw Paulie, the thirteen year old (emotionally) founder of the Girls Have Cooties Club, was betrayed by his bestest buds in a coup type thing. But we're getting ahead of ourselves.
The day started, as Fridays have lately, with a mysterious package arriving from the sky. In a surprising twist, the fans of the show chose to bestow a gift upon Nicole. (Well, in all actuality they probably intended for it to go to Bridgette, but she got voted out, so it defaulted to the next highest vote getter who was Nicole.) Nicole was thrilled that America loved her and soon discovered that she was safe for this week. Yeah! (In truth she was safe this week no matter what, Victor had bigger fish to fry.) Nicole's joy was soon dampened when she discovered she had to wear a "safety suit" all week.
Nicole was soon summoned to the Diary Room where she was given her costume which resembles what you'd get if you crossed a school crossing guard with a witch. She has black high heeled boots, knee and elbow pads, an orange unitard and yellow add-ons with a tall orange pointed safety cone for a hat. Nicole felt this was a pretty good outfit as BB outfits go.
Next came the nominations. Paulie, confident as always, celebrated with his boys as the nominations neared and couldn't wait to see the faces of those two evil, cootie laden girls Natalie and Michelle when they got put on the block. He encouraged Victor to let him give a speech before the nominations where he could point out their cootiness before they were nominated. Victor thought that wouldn't be such a good idea.
The feeds went down for the nominations and when they came back up, Corey was sitting at the kitchen island in a state of shock while Paulie was hiding in the bathroom. (Corey and Paulie were the nominees.) Paulie soon emerged from the bathroom and expressed his shock and displeasure that his fellow guys would try to vote him out of the club and leave the two obviously cootie laden girls in the club. It's such an unfair type thing to do to a guy. This expletive laden rant continued for quite some time. Our expert stenographers have recorded every word used by Paulie over the next three hours and removed the expletives. What follows is the full transcript of what Paulie said during those three hours with the expletives deleted.
"Why, guys type thing? Girls bad, guys good. Michelle's evil. Cooties."
Kudos to Victor who calmly swatted down everything said by Paulie and gave good, solid, logical rebuttals for everything Paulie said.
Nicole immediately sensed a shifting in the power of the house and made a beeline for the London room where Natalie and Michelle had retreated after the nominations. Nicole had earlier, finally (60 days into the season) decided to chat with Natalie and exchange small talk. That initial session ended badly when Nicole proved that she knew absolutely nothing about Natalie. "So you were born in New York or New Jersey or someplace?" "Venezuela." With a sudden shift in power though, Nicole felt obliged to do something for survival so off the London Town she went. Natalie and Michelle were surprised to see Nicole pop in, but treated her kindly before dispersing. (A new alliance is looking like a good idea now to Nicole and she's suggested Corey and her hook up with Natalie and James. Yeah, that's not happening.)
Paul and Victor meanwhile retreated from the insanity and headed up to the HOH room where they had a glorious celebration and laughed at Paulie and Corey while they drank a beer. Paul made his way back downstairs after that and attempted to calm the nominees. Paulie immediately confronted him once more and wanted to know what had happened. They had such a glorious plan in place. Paul explained to Paulie that everyone in the house had compared notes and seen what a lying manipulative jerk (my words, Paul was much gentler) Paulie had been and that they were just helping him win. Paulie tried to explain that all of the lies, manipulations and deceit were intended to throw off the evil cootie laden girls and he was with the guys to the end. Oh sure, there was a plan to backdoor Victor and then get rid of Paul, but he didn't actually do any of that because he didn't get the chance to. And yes, it's true that he was in a final three with James and Corey and he wanted Natalie and Zakiyah in the final five, but that didn't mean he would have gotten rid of Victor and Paul.
Victor soon found a catatonic Corey in the Nairobi room and informed him that Paulie was the target and that if Paulie came down, Corey would go to the jury instead, but that he wanted to get rid of one of the big strong guys. Corey said it's all a game and he understood. Paul meanwhile was chatting with Nicole and asked if she really knew there was a five guys alliance and they were voting her out in the next week or so. She said yeah and she was fine with it. Paul emerged with a "what kind of whack job is this girl?" look on his face.
Paulie continued his, "I just don't understand what happened type thing" tour of the house visiting with pretty much everyone and vowing his undying loyalty to everyone but Michelle who he knows is the evil mastermind behind him getting the boot. (In truth Michelle had nearly nothing to do with it. Natalie and Bridgette were the true masterminds.) Paulie found Corey and broke down in tears telling Corey that if he, Paulie, won the POV today, he'd use it on Corey. (Care to bet about that?) Paulie then got called to the Diary Room for a sanity check. Reportedly his DR session was filled with tears as he tried to figure out the betrayal.
When Paulie finally emerged from the DR the tears had dried up and he ramped up his social game. He's now moved into the London Bedroom and is sharing a bed with Paul (who is likely less than thrilled by this) but Paulie explained that he can't sleep in a bed by himself and when home alone sleeps with his dogs. Lacking a dog or Zakiyah, Paul would have to do. Paulie thinks he can keep the evil Michelle and Natalie form further poisoning his guys by staying around them and blocking them talking. Yeah. Not such a great plan. Up until about a half hour ago they were keeping him up chatting about teeth and braces among other stuff when he should be sleeping and getting ready for today's POV comp.
So at this moment the house is poised to vote out Paulie or Corey on Thursday. Paulie is the target, but if he wins POV, Corey becomes the target. If either goes down Michelle has volunteered to go up as a replacement. Michelle's been on the block so much lately I'm not sure she'd know where else to sit on a Thursday. Paulie still thinks he can get the five guys back together and vote out Michelle, but there's no chance of that. The house is as solid on voting out Paulie or Corey as the house can be. Later today they'll pick the POV players then have the POV comp. It is likely we'll see Zingbot make his annual appearance today and I don't think that will make Paulie's life any easier. It's an interesting house to watch these days.
