Yesterday saw the POV ceremony take place where Paul used the POV to save himself and since he'd been nominated by Michelle, Michelle had to replace him. Michelle replaced Paul with Corey so the nominations now are Corey and Victor. Victor is the clear target for James. There are only three votes this week with Paul, Nicole and James doing the voting. Paul will vote to evict Corey. Nicole and James will vote to evict Victor. Two votes is all it takes to evict this week, so Victor will be gone.
Paul was happy to save himself, but he knows that Victor is largely doomed which will leave Paul on his own. Paul had a rare bad day yesterday as he was just moody most of the day. (BB fatigue has set in for much of the house.) Paul realizes how difficult it will be for him to go much further in the game if he loses Victor. Michelle was closer to Victor and has pretty much glued herself to Natalie and James since winning the Care Package. She now hates Paul and is very unlikely to unite with him. (I'm not sure Paul doesn't think he can pull her back in, but it seems highly unlikely.) Nicole and Corey are not his allies and seem close to James. Paul is feeling very alone. Paul is the clear target for next week and depending on who comes back on Thursday night, he absolutely has to win the HOH this week to stay alive.
And speaking of coming back on Thursday night, the house is going on an early inside lock down today to prep the yard for Thursday. That implies either a complicated comp like the wall comp that requires a long setup and testing, or multiple comps setup for the juror Battle Back. We'll keep an eye on the feeds today and tomorrow to see if there are any unexpected HOH lock downs indicating that early rounds of a Battle Back are underway. I just don't see how they have the time on Thursday's show to show four individual Battle back comps. The last Battle Back took a full hour to show on a special Friday show, so my best guess is this will be something much simpler. I still like the idea of picking new tickets to see who gets the Round Trip and gets to reenter the house. It's fast, easy, fair, controlled, and still has some tension for TV viewers.
Victor is starting to feel the effects of slop and the lack of sleep that comes from sleeping in the bumper cars. He's feeling a bit poorly and out of sorts. Add in the stress of being in the house and on the block and he's getting a bit worn down. He did get the kitchen nicely cleaned yesterday. Victor's planning to clean one room a day until Thursday. He and James had a nice chat where James asked him how he felt the last time he got evicted and Victor said relieved. It was nice having the pressure of the game off, then of course Julie put it right back on by telling him he might go back in.
Paul and Victor felt out James yesterday on the vote and they think James might be voting to keep Victor, but they know that Victor is a huge target for the house. They also know that Nicole has pried herself free from Corey and has been more social with both Natalie and Michelle lately. Nicole and Corey don't seem overly worried about Thursday either which has both Victor and Paul a bit on edge.
Today the house will go on an early inside lock down, the HOH camera will come out, and the two HOH's will do their blogs. Victor will pick another room of the house to clean, he's done the bathroom and kitchen so far.
The current state of the house seems to be a solid threesome of James, Natalie and Michelle, a pair in Corey/Nicole with Corey a near term target at which point Nicole will be absorbed in with James, Natalie and Michelle. Paul and Victor are still a solid team, but Victor is going soon and I don't see Paul hooking up with either group as everyone is dissing him badly behind his back. At this moment the house is targeting Paul next, then Corey. Now the returning house guest could upset that projected order and change everything, but we'll have to see who comes back and how they fit in. Bridgette would likely, nearly certainly be absorbed by James, Natalie and Michelle. Davonne and Zakiyah might try to hook up with that trio also. Paulie will likely be on his own if he comes back. Victor would obviously hook up with Paul again.
Michelle is planning to attack Paul if he doesn't win HOH this week. She's annoyed at his constant brags about the stuff he's bought, the places he's been, the people he knows, his business and assistant, etc. She's speculated that he has to be older than he says he is in order to have done all he says he's done. Things could get a bit heated between Paul and Michelle if he doesn't win HOH next week. (Not a horrible strategy on Michelle's part to keep the target on Paul next week and not her.) She's been busily planting anti-Paul seeds among the house guests to help keep him the target. As long as he doesn't win HOH, Michelle should be fairly safe next week.
Paul is now addressing the live feed watchers. He's subdued and admits that Victor is likely going. He's begging for the next Care Package, but he doesn't know how bad a Care Package it is. He disses Michelle and doesn't believe she's working with James/Natalie. (He's wrong.) He's hoping to play the middle and turn the two couples against one another. He's asking for the care package again for next week. (It's almost worth giving it to him just to see his disappointment when he sees what it is.) Paul is saying he'll take a shot at Natalie and James if he wins HOH. One of them has to go. (It'll be a challenge for him to win HOH this week as James, Nicole, and Corey will be competing against him and they all want to/need to win this week.) Paul is very subdued. He complains that Michelle is starting to push his buttons.(He's right.) Paul thinks his best chance to win would be to take Michelle to the final two. And that ends the chat.
The house should be pretty quiet today. Tension will build tomorrow as the eviction gets closer. Thursday's show has a lot of potential. We get a returning house guest and the promise of a double eviction/fast forward in the not too distant future. I'm guessing a wall comp is the most likely HOH comp which should strongly favor James, but Paul will hold on for dear life. He's looking pretty defeated these days though so who knows. He might just roll over and play dead. He knows he's got a tough road ahead of him. He thinks it might not be in his best interest to win HOH if the Care Package is a dethrone HOH so he may hop off quickly on Thursday and hope the Care Package saves him, or he can win POV. Thursday promises to be an interesting day.
