Thursday saw Davonne go out by a 6-2 vote with Michelle and Zakiyah blindsided by the vote. Davonne did not have the Round Trip ticket which keeps that in play. We have a double eviction coming up this week. The HOH comp was one of the spinning comps where they have to stand on a small round disc on the end of a rope as it spins around and bounces the house guests off a large paddle. This is one of the few endurance comps that typically favors a larger house guest who's better able to absorb the blows. Back in season eleven Jeff and Russell went on for hours in that comp.
Oddly, Corey, James and Bridgette were off early and are the Have Nots for this coming week. James claimed to throw the comp and likely did. Corey must have slipped or something. He should have been able to last a lot longer and he desperately didn't want to be a Have Not. Bridgette has two bad legs and any comp that requires standing handicaps her. After the first three fell they had a nice long interval of no one falling for a while. Then Michelle got violently sick from the spinning and started throwing up as she was spinning around. This led to her falling off and breaking down in tears.
The prospects of falling off into Michelle's vomit motivated the remaining house guests to remain up for a while longer. Nicole was next to go. Zakiyah went a bit later and Paulie fell right behind Zakiyah. (There's a bit of a hint there to Zakiyah. If leaving her in the dark as to the vote wasn't enough of a sign, Paulie hanging on until Zakiyah was done and then immediately dropping should have been a wake up call.)
Now came the epic showdown between Victor and Natalie. They are the two extremes in the largest and smallest house guest left in the house. Victor was largely gliding by the paddle while Natalie was taking a pounding hitting it hard. Those two went almost an hour longer with each one promising the other safety and encouraging the other to drop. Victor even swore to God and crossed himself that he wouldn't put up Natalie. Finally Natalie couldn't take it any longer and fell. Victor hopped off and covered her up protecting her from the Internet trolls that came out and whacked everyone after they fell. He reassured her that she was safe this week. Victor's hands were rubbed raw by the comp and he only lasted about five seconds in the shower afterwards when the water hit them.
As soon as the comp ended and the house guests went back inside Paul and Paulie started to scheme. Paulie said he wanted Michelle and Zakiyah on the block this week with Zakiyah the target. Paul claimed to Michelle and Zakiyah that he had no idea Davonne was being voted out. (He lied. He knew the plan.)
Victor got a red HOH robe and a jester's hat. (Paul's HOH robe is apparently out being fumigated after being worn nonstop by Paul last week.) He also got a six pack of beer that he's already consumed.
Now we get to see what Victor does. He seems to be on board with getting out Zakiyah, but is he just saying that to keep Paul and Paulie off guard? The big game move this week would be to target Paulie. Victor told Nicole and James the nominations today are going to be ugly. I'd love to see Victor ambush Paul and Paulie, but I find it unlikely. Granted Paulie did backdoor Victor way back in week two and Davonne warned Victor that "they" were planning to take him out in the double eviction.
Later today the house will get the next Care Package delivered. Then a bit after that the nominations will be made. Bridgette and Natalie seem safe. Victor wants to take Bridgette to the end while Paulie and Paul want Natalie to go to the end. Victor's been spending a lot of time with Bridgette and says he likes her more than any other girl in the house. I don't think Victor will turn on Paul and Paulie, but he's talking about creating a legacy while talking with Paulie, and you don't make a legacy by putting up Zakiyah and getting rid of her when she's done nothing. We'll have to see what happens, but right now it look like Michelle and Zakiyah will be going up.
A bold strategic move would be to put up Paul and Paulie, or backdoor Paulie, to remove the alpha male in the house. Victor could then step into that role. He could inform Zakiyah and Michelle that they were supposed to be the targets and try to get their allegiance. Victor's pretty good at talking to the live feeders so at some point he's likely to tell us his plan. Getting rid of Zakiyah isn't a legacy creating move however and nominating her won't be ugly or unexpected since she was left out of the loop on the vote.
