In the continuing saga of the Perils of Pauline, er Paulie, our villain finds himself in mortal peril of being dismissed from the BB house. With no comps, events, or activities planned for yesterday, Paulie was free to actively campaign, and actively campaign he did. He desperately wants Victor to use the POV on Corey so that Paulie could gain two votes (Corey and Nicole) to stay in the house. Victor's not so responsive to this idea.
As Victor pointed out to Paulie, Corey had the POV and Victor was willing to let Corey keep the POV and take the vacation from Nicole, then Paulie took the POV from Corey and forced Victor to take the POV back from Paulie. Paulie taking the POV essentially stole a $5,000 vacation from Victor and Victor's not happy about it.
Paulie claims that among other things, he needs the money to pay for his sick aunt's cancer treatments. Of course, he's willing to walk out of the jury house and sacrifice all of the money he's to get from stipends (around $30,000) that could be used for her care because he's extremely claustrophobic and can't spend five weeks in the jury house. (Oddly though this extremely claustrophobic house guest had no trouble getting through that small tunnel leading to the small Paris room where he spent a lot of time.) He also claims he wants to walk out to reunite with his ex, who's no doubt been thrilled to see him and Zakiyah together. And he wants to get back to overseeing his business instead of being in the jury house. Paulie's just a jerk.
Paulie spent the day campaigning to nearly everyone, except Natalie, that Jersey Girl. He talked to Michelle to try and get her on board. He talked to James, Corey, Paul, Nicole, and Victor. Sad to say none of them wants to keep Paulie. At various times in the day, Paulie wanted Victor to put up Michelle, Natalie and finally James in place of Corey. Paulie is convinced he can campaign against one of the them and stay. At this point Victor could put Charles Manson up opposite Paulie and the house would vote out Paulie.
Paulie finally got called to make his first pie yesterday and Paulie made the first one, albeit reluctantly. He then had to clean up the dishes and shortly after that he went out into the yard to exercise. BB then called him to make a second pie and Paulie instead opted to continue to exercise. This went back and forth for a while before Paulie finally conceded and made the second pie. He's not a willing participant in the pie making enterprise and is very unenthusiastic.
On the other hand, Paul is loving his Secret Service experience and is playing it up very well. The other house guests are having a lot of fun with Paulie now too, attempting to flee from him when the alarm goes off. Natalie led him on a nice chase around the back yard yesterday for a few minutes and later hid Michelle in her bed during a search. Nicole had a suspicious baggie on her person during one search. Other house guests are hiding out to complicate Paul's searches. If nothing else Paul will come out of this in better physical shape.
Corey's not exactly loving his Spiritard outfit. The novelty has worn off quickly. Nicole, who thinks that Corey is madly in love with her (he's not and seems to perk up when talk turns to evicting her) is planning to take Corey with her on the vacation she won. Paulie wants to go with them and has said he'll pay his own way. (Apparently he'd rather be the third wheel in a vacation than help his sick aunt.)
Speaking of Nicole she's really dusted off her social game and is now chatting up Natalie, James, and Michelle on a routine basis. She's gone from spending 22 hours a day glued to Corey to being much more social and friendly to everyone. It's amazing how a little thing like having your alliance implode can change a person.
Natalie had a bad day yesterday when she overheard James talking with Corey about hooking up together after the show and hitting some bars in Texas together and picking up girls. Natalie's feelings got a bit hurt by this and she's feeling a bit vulnerable these days anyway as she's put on a little weight in the house and many of her favorite clothes don't fit any longer. Plus she's now heard everything that Paulie had said about her and it's taken a toll on her. She was having a bad day yesterday and hearing James talking with Corey pushed her over the edge into a bit of depression. James is paying the price for that now, but Natalie should be back to her normal form pretty quickly.
Today will see some frantic last minute campaigning from Paulie as he desperately tries to get the POV played. It won't happen. Victor will pocket the POV and the noms will stay the same. Paul will get more security alerts and the house guests will continue to flee or hide out from him as he searches for them to complete his duties. Paulie will get called to bake more pies. God only knows what he'll do. He may just walk out. We'll have to see. The period after the POV meeting today should be pretty interesting. Paulie will have to decide if he's going to hang around until Thursday and then go to the jury house, or will he sacrifice everything being a spoiled brat and walk out. Nicole is desperately trying to convince him to stay for fear that Corey would then be voted out.
It should be an interesting day on the feeds as Paulie desperately tries one more time to get the POV used, then the aftermath of it not being used. Paulie could very well just get up and walk out after the POV isn't played and he knows he can't win. The DR is likely to be very busy later today dealing with Paulie.
