We've officially reached the halfway mark! BB had the halfway party for the house guests last night with some food and alcohol that had a few house guests a bit tipsy afterwards. This led to more than typical flirty behavior from both Nicole/Corey and Zakiyah/Paulie. Zakiyah spent a while after the party straddling Paulie and dry humping him with her, shall we say asset, exposed. She managed to give Paulie a hickey which had Paulie a bit annoyed. Davonne recommended she put on a pair of shorts when seeing her later after walking by and seeing her exposure while humping Paulie. Nicole and Corey also got a little frisky. Nothing dramatic has changed game wise. James made the mistake of telling Corey he wasn't going to play hard for HOH this week as there was no one he really needed out. Corey told PP and that has Paul and Paulie a bit upset. (James has promised to throw the HOH to Michelle or Natalie if they're still in it and I think he expects them to target Paul/Paulie.) Davonne tried to patch things up with Nicole to no avail.
Since we've now reached the halfway mark it's time for a house guest by house guest breakdown of where they stand in the game and what the immediate future holds for them. So, here's my view of each house guest at the halfway mark. Listed in alphabetical order.
Bridgette is the first up. Bridgette went from being the walking dead to being pretty safe. A week ago Bridgette seemed destined to be heading home tonight. Now she looks pretty safe and only Paul really seems to be targeting her. Michelle is even being nice to Bridgette these days which has Bridgette a bit nervous wondering why she's now being nice to her. Bridgette is pretty much off the radar right not and likely safe for a few weeks. Her baking cookies, pies, and cakes strategy seems to be working pretty well for her. She only has Natalie as an ally at this time, but Michelle seems to be keeping her in mind for a future ally. Victor is also spending a lot of time with her. A Bridgette win of HOH could be pretty interesting to watch. She's one of the girls who knows how things lie and I suspect she wants James, Paul and Paulie dead.
Corey is next up. Corey also seems safe for the immediate future. Davonne was the only person targeting Corey, and Davonne has bigger targets in mind now if she survives tonight. The Corey/Nicole showmance is a bit confusing. Corey doesn't seem overly invested, but I'm not sure Corey is overly invested in anything. Corey seems very loyal to Paulie and Paul but also Nicole. Expect to see Corey forced to choose between the two sides (PP/Nicole) in the near future. Nicole's name comes up a lot as a target and Corey will likely be forced to choose between Nicole and another ally.
Davonne is our next house guest in the review. Davonne's played a very sloppy, dangerous game. She blew up Tiffany. Then she blew up Frank. She openly targeted Nicole/Corey as a couple she had to break up. She wanted Paulie gone so Zakiyah would come back to her. Despite Davonne's game play she still has allies in Michelle and Zakiyah. James and Natalie also like Davonne and would work with her, but Davonne's nearly certain to leave tonight. Will she come back? The omens are good. The "Ocho Rios Your Dream Vacation" sign would seem to indicate that envelope eight would be a good one to pick and reportedly Davonne owns that one, so she could be coming right back into the house. I would expect Paulie to be a big target for her to break up the Zakiyah relationship. She would likely put up Paul besides him since Paul just put her on the block.
James is next up. James is starting to get a bit exposed. Michelle is tiring of his antics. Paul and Paulie are mentioning him as a future target. Bridgette is upset with him for breaking his word to her last week. James is trying hard to stay safe with everyone and that's starting to make him look sketchy to everyone. He's promised to tell Davonne later today if she's staying or not. (She knows she's not.) James could find himself on the block in the very near future. I think there are bigger targets than James so he likely won't be leaving soon, but he could be targeted. Natalie is his most solid ally right now. James will need to be a better player to survive long. Picking a side would be a good idea for him too. Playing the middle got him this far, but you can't stay in the middle the whole game.
Michelle is next up. The stress of living in the BB house is starting to take a toll on Michelle. She was begging for a Care Package yesterday morning (I'm doing my part, she's getting my 20 votes each day this week) then she was in tears after a DR later in the day when she thought they implied she was getting a negative edit. She's afraid she won't be able to find work when she gets out and that everyone will think she's a bully and a mean girl. (Largely because she's a bit of a bully and a mean girl.) She thinks Davonne is safe tonight and may be the only house guest surprised by the vote. Michelle has vowed to start trying to win comps now. She claims she's been throwing them up until now, but is worried about the guys taking control of the game. Michelle is one of those aware of the boys' alliance and wants them broken up. She's a pretty big target now for the boys because of her quirkiness and their fear of what she might do if she wins HOH.
Natalie is next up. She looks to be this year's Victoria. Everyone is pretty much planning to take her far in the game and assume she won't win anything and they can control her. James and Bridgette may be the only two who know they can't control her. Natalie will do whatever Natalie wants to do if she wins HOH. Natalie knows pretty much everything about the house. She knows who's in charge, who their followers are. She's got a great feel for the house. Natalie is another of those who claims she hasn't been trying to win, but now plans to turn things up and win HOH. She's close to pretty much everyone in the house and is likely to hang around a while.
Nicole is next up. Nicole could be in big trouble in the very near future. She thinks she's safer than she is. She thinks Paulie is loyal to her. He isn't. She's betrayed pretty much all of the girls in the house and none of them are loyal to her. She's glued to Corey who's not as attached to her. James might be the person most loyal to her and James isn't very loyal to her. The odds of Nicole going much farther in the game aren't good.
Paul is up next. There is a lot of potential for Paul to be heading out the door in the very, very near future. His act has worn thin with a lot of people and his closeness to Paulie is very obvious. He needs his guys to keep winning HOH. If he and Paulie end up on the block opposite one another, Paul could be in big trouble. Davonne thinks Paul is the mastermind of the house and Paulie is his follower since Paulie cut his hair to match Paul's. Paul's wearing the HOH robe all week hasn't helped him any either. He needs Paulie, Victor, or Corey to win HOH to be safe. I'm not sure he wouldn't be targeted by everyone else.
Paulie is the leader of the house. He's got a group of loyal idiots who do whatever he says. He's also got some enemies who know what he's doing and would die to take him down. Turning the house against Paulie should be easy. He used Tiffany's sister Vanessa and the fact that Vanessa made the top three as a reason to get rid of Vanessa. Well, his brother Cody made the top two and as Paulie tells people, he's been coached by Derrick, a winner of BB. Paulie will likely be a big target and gone by a unanimous vote if the wrong person wins HOH. He had multiple advantages coming into the game. Nicole and James both knew him coming into the game. Nicole had met him through Cody. James had met him as Paulie's father is his agent and the agent of a number of reality TV personalities. We're reaching the point of the game where the threat of Paulie is getting too big to ignore. Someone will take a shot at him soon. If they don't, he'll likely cruise to an easy win.
Victor is a bit of a mystery to me. He's ostensibly with the guys, but I get the vibe that he'd love to take out Paulie. I think he's most loyal to Paul. He really wants Natalie gone and holds a grudge about her goodbye message where she said he didn't respect her. Much of what went down between them happened before the feeds came on, so we don't know all of the details. Victor reportedly had tried to hook up with three girls before the feeds came on, with one of them being Natalie. He's pretty close to Bridgette these days. They're often goofing around together. Victor is a wild card to me. I'm not sure what he'll do if he gets power. I suspect he'll take out Natalie, but Paulie might also be a tempting target to him.
And finally we come to Zakiyah. Zakiyah has no real game. She's just floating along attached to Paulie. She's glued herself to him and is making herself a bit of a fool over him. When he's not around she seems sound and rational, but as soon as she's near him she becomes his little toy. Paulie seems to feel nothing for her and wants her gone soon. He's made it pretty obvious to everyone that she's little more than a toy to him, but Zakiyah just doesn't pick up the signs. If Paulie gets evicted soon, expect Zakiyah to throw herself in front of whoever wins the next HOH to get herself evicted to be in the jury house with Paulie. Maybe she's just playing him for safety and she's the most clever schemer in the game, but she acts more like an infatuated teenager than anything. I'm very disappointed in her game play and her as a person. She is also leading the field by a wide margin in terms of nudity. She's left assorted body parts exposed on a fairly frequent basis.
So, who will win BB this year? If I had to bet, I'd put the money on Paulie as he's been the most manipulative and in control. He really needs the guys, or a girl they control (Nicole) to win HOH for a few more weeks to improve his odds, but he's built such a following that it's likely he could even survive a nomination or two. Too many people are too close to Paulie right now. If he doesn't go in the next week or two, he's likely to cruise to the finish. I'm still rooting for Natalie to win it all. I wouldn't even mind a Bridgette or James win. The right girl winning HOH this week could change everything. We'll find out what happens tonight.
Tonight we get to see if Davonne has the Round Trip ticket, then we see who wins HOH. The house guests are expecting this to be a double eviction, but it doesn't look that way right now. The delivery of the next Care Package will shake up the house a lot tomorrow also.
