And the battle lines are drawn. For this week it's Paulie, Victor, Nicole, Corey, James and Natalie voting to keep Bridgette against Michelle and Zakiyah voting to keep Davonne. The vote should be 6-2 to evict Davonne. Davonne pretty much knows this now and is handling it pretty well. (I suspect she thinks she has the Round Trip ticket in her envelope and may have had that strongly implied by the DR.)
Davonne spent most of yesterday (and early this morning) feeling out the house and now knows she's in big trouble. Davonne started out her discovery tour with a trip up to the HOH where she found Paul and Natalie deep in conversation on who Paul wanted Natalie to vote out, that stopped and then detoured into a discussion on life when Davonne came in. Paul then did a bad job of assuring Davonne she was safe. (Natalie was assured by Paul that he'd be fine with her voting to keep Bridgette.)
Davonne then went downstairs and chatted up James who assured her she was safe, then had a James moment when he said he was just trying to keep himself safe this week in case Bridgette or Victor won HOH next week. Davonne pointed out that if Bridgette was gone this week she couldn't win HOH next week. The light bulb in James head briefly flickered to life and he realized he'd made a mistake and tried to cover, but James is a pretty horrible liar. Davonne then tried to swing James vote back by telling James that Nicole had thrown out Natalie's name as a replacement nominee. (Cleverly forgetting to tell him how hard Davonne had pushed for Natalie to go up instead of her.)
Meanwhile, with Davonne all but voted out, operation "Back stab Zakiyah" went into effect. Paulie wants Michelle and Zakiyah on the block next week so he's working hard to poison the house on Zakiyah. He and Nicole had a conversation where Paulie told Nicole that Zakiyah has a bad attitude and is now adjusting her sleep schedule to match his. He's started to compare Zakiyah to Tiffany/Vanessa and is insistent that Zakiyah must go.
Zakiyah then came in, and after Nicole left, Zakiyah complained that Nicole kept information from her yesterday. Paulie then went on the attack and grilled Zakiyah about a conversation she'd had with Michelle the previous day and who else was there. Paulie accused her of lying (she wasn't really, but Paulie wants her gone, so he needs to invent a reason.) Nicole then found Zakiyah crying and assured her that she's fine and sent her into the Paris room to wait for Paulie to arrive. Nicole then advised Paulie to go up and make up with Zakiyah. Paulie then tells Nicole how Zakiyah is a liar and Nicole agreed Zakiyah has to go. Paulie then headed up to the HOH to laugh with Paul about Zakiyah. Eventually Paulie finds his way to to Zakiyah and they break up when he won't believe her.
Zakiyah then headed downstairs and talked to Davonne and told her she's done with Paulie. This led Davonne to doing a little dance in celebration at getting an ally back on her side. Victor saw Zakiyah crying and Paulie told him that she's crying because Paulie caught her in lies and Zakiyah has to go. Paulie once again compared Zakiyah to Tiffany.
James and Natalie had a long talk on strategy in the store room. Both made good points and seem to be working well as a pair. Natalie really knows where the house stands. James thinks they're safe for a while.
At this moment we have an interesting divide in the house. We have Michelle, Zakiyah and Davonne on the outside and knowing they're on the outside. They've finally figured out who's in charge and are now planning to play hard to win HOH and take out Paulie who they think is in charge. (Davonne's not sure Paul isn't the mastermind since Paulie's mimicking Paul.) They know that Nicole and Corey are in with Paulie/Paul and they also know Victor is with them. They're still not sure where James and Natalie's loyalties lie, which is probably good for James and Natalie as they can float to power. To the Davonne/Michelle/Zakiyah side, Paul, Paulie, Nicole and Corey are the prime targets. To Paulie's side, Michelle is the top target after Davonne goes then Zakiyah.
There's potential for a new alliance to form if Davonne comes back. The next HOH is crucial. A win by Michelle, who swears she'll play very hard this week, would shake up the house in a big way. Zakiyah and Davonne (if she Round Trips) would be on her side and they'd likely reel in James and Natalie and maybe even Bridgette for extra votes. Paul and Paulie would be the prime targets and the game would heat up quite a bit.
The house should stay pretty quiet today as they're still on an inside lock down and everyone's just lying low and taking it easy. Davonne's accepting her fate and is more focused on bonding with Michelle and Zakiyah than fighting to stay in the house. She's really banking on having that Round Trip ticket.
