Yesterday saw the delivery of the second Care Package and unfortunately James was the winner. I say unfortunately because this care package is largely useless. Neutralizing two votes is more symbolic than useful this week. James would have been better served with the Safety Suit next week or the Co-HOH in two weeks. Natalie later kidnapped a pair of the socks and jokingly thanked America for her second care package before James pushed her off the bed.
After the Care Package (which included socks, underwear and a pair of sunglasses) the house did the nominations. Victor, in an effort to prove to the world that Natalie is wrong and he respects women, nominated the two most emotionally vulnerable women in the house and gave them a vile speech which had Michelle in tears and wanting to go home. (Yeah, Victor you might want to stop trying to prove how respectful you are to women. It's not working so well.)
Victor called Michelle mean which is a sticking point with Michelle and is guaranteed to trigger the flow of tears. Despite apparently being a mean girl, she doesn't like to be told she's a mean girl. When the DR implied she was mean a couple of weeks ago she emerged in hysterics and Frank had to calm her down. Now Victor pushed that same button to dramatic effect.
Michelle, being Michelle, pointed out between sobs that Michelle wasn't the person who backdoored Victor. (Paulie was.) Saying this with Paulie a few feet away got Paulie's attention. His plan to get rid of Zakiyah got detoured and he suddenly decided that maybe Michelle was a bigger issue. How dare she remind the peasants that Paulie was the mastermind of the house? She then shifted the blame for her being nominated to Natalie because Natalie didn't tell her that Davonne was going home. (Michelle may not be the most logical person in the house.)
The Have Nots formally ended at midnight last night and Victor offered to let Corey sleep in the HOH bed with him so Corey could have a night away from the bumper cars before he's an HOH again this week. Corey gladly accepted. This precipitated a panic attack in Nicole. A handsome young man was trying to bed her Corey! That's just not acceptable! Nicole's panic attack cleverly manipulated Corey back into her bed instead of the HOH bed.
Meanwhile talk in the house switched to which of the two nominees should go to the jury this week. Paulie, who had been very much in favor of Zakiyah going up and out became convinced that Michelle is a bigger problem after she reminded the house that he'd backdoored Victor. How dare someone remind the house that he was in charge of the house! It's blasphemy! Michelle must go! Paul, for reasons of his own, is pushing hard for Zakiyah to go. The two have been engaged in a back and forth conversation all night and morning on the various pros and cons with neither relenting. Paul clearly wants Zakiyah gone so Paulie has one less ally in the house, while Paulie wants Michelle gone so she'll stop reminding people how much blood there is on his hands. Paulie has gone behind Paul's back and gotten the votes necessary to get rid of Michelle in James, Corey, and Nicole. With James having the ability to nullify two votes and being on Paulie's side, it would only take three votes to get rid of Michelle. Paulie really wants the decision to be unanimous however, so he's trying to convince Paul to join him. (Victor would apparently prefer Zakiyah gone too, or so he told Paul.)
In a telling move, the yard is still open as I type this despite there being a POV comp today. That strongly implies that today's POV comp will be a hide and seek one where the POV will be hidden in the house and the house guests will have to destroy the house to find it. This comp takes one of several forms. One year they filled the house with balloons and the house guests had to break the balloons to find the POV. In other years they'll hide it in the house someplace and challenge the house guests to find it. Those not participating will typically be watching the house get destroyed on the monitor in the HOH room, This comp gives the house something to do the rest of the day as the house typically gets destroyed in the process and they have to spend hours putting everything back where it belongs.
Victor got freaked out when one of the bigger fish in the tank behind his bed died (I believe the angelfish based on the description) and he discovered that the other fish had eaten it's face off. (It's a fish eat fish world out there.) Victor begged the DR to remove the fish and was advised it would be there until tomorrow (later today now) when their fish guy would be there to remove the dead fish, or what remains of it. (For the record this is about the twentieth fish they've lost this year. BB could use a better fish guy.) Victor doesn't like sleeping under a dead fish that's being eaten by the other fish while he's trying to sleep.
Victor, Paul and Bridgette were just heading towards bed when they heard footsteps and got freaked out. (Uh guys? There are people behind the walls filming you. That's why you live in a house with two way mirrors. The people behind the walls move on occasion.) They've debated whether there's an intruder or ghosts in the house. They're now telling Paulie about it in the kitchen. (Production will have a ball having house guests in the place for Halloween in BB 19. The games they can play with them will be impressive.) Aha! Paulie's finally figured out this will be the hide and seek veto. It took a while for someone to figure it out. Paul was thinking they were doing the POV on Monday instead.
Today we get to see the Have Nots extra food. Ideally they'd cut the end off a bumper car for Corey so he could fit in one for the rest of the week, but they don't seem so motivated. Then the POV comp will be played. If it's the hide and seek one, and all indications are that it is, then it's largely a crap shoot POV comp. These can last for hours or be over in minutes. One year the POV was so well hidden BB had to resort to giving the house guests hints to eventually get them to find it. With roughly a gazillion suitcases in the house this year, this could be a long one. The good news is they often let the live feed watchers see part of it.
The debate over who should go is likely to go on all week as the two P's are in disagreement on which should go and neither seems willing to yield. This is a nice test of wills that could lead to a splitting of the two P's before things are done. Paul has grabbed hold of Victor as an ally and probably wouldn't mind losing Paulie, so he feels confident standing up to Paulie. Paulie has Corey and James so he doesn't mind losing Victor or Paul if the need arises. We could be seeing the first big divide in the guys alliance forming.
