In yesterday's episode of "How the House Turns" we saw the plan to backdoor Davonne go into effect. Paul informed Davonne in the morning that he was putting her up in place of Paulie. Davonne simply nodded and thanked him for telling her. He then hastily retreated and Davonne looked up into the camera and said, "Game on!" The POV ceremony took place a few minutes later and Paulie came down and Davonne went up.
Davonne retreated to the yard immediately after the ceremony with Zakiyah, who advised Davonne to stay calm and cool and keep a low profile. (Yeah, that'll work.) Don't blow anything up. (Like Zakiyah's game.) It'll all be okay. (After you're evicted on Thursday.) Davonne did a lot of nodding and fake smiling while her mind raced ahead at a hundred miles an hour.
While all of this was gong on, James was complaining to the guys about Natalie. Natalie had gone to bed early on Sunday night with bad gas and holding a heat pack to her belly. When James had come in to go to bed Natalie had said she wanted to sleep alone due to feeling badly and got up to go to sleep in another bed. James told her to stay there and he'd sleep elsewhere. Natalie stayed in their normal bed. A little while later Michelle was wandering the house and not feeling well. She was having a hard time sleeping and asked if she could climb into bed with anyone. Victor offered his bed, but Michelle wasn't thrilled with that. Natalie then offered to let her sleep with her. Michelle agreed and climbed into bed with Natalie. James came through a little later and saw the two in bed and got upset that Natalie would sleep with Michelle and not James.
Natalie was unaware that this was a big issue and was pranking James by freezing his Crocs in the storeroom freezer. James and Victor found the frozen Crocs when they were getting out pizzas for lunch and James decided it was time for a prank war. He found Natalie's pink athletic shoes and froze them then kidnapped her makeup bag and retreated to the HOH room with her Care Package box and the aluminum foil and plastic wrap. He spent quite a bit of time wrapping Natalie's make up bag in layer after layer of foil and plastic wrap as Paul watched. BB called for an outdoor lock down and James waited until after Natalie had left the house to carry down the Care Package box that now held the wrapped up makeup bag and left it on the dining table.
When the lock down ended James raced in to see what had changed and shouted that Natalie had a new care package. Everyone raced inside to find Natalie's care package box on the table. Natalie was briefly excited then quickly realized it was a prank from James and spent the next half hour or so unwrapping her makeup bag as James teased her. They declared a truce and seemed to make up.
Davonne decided then that this would be a late night, so she went to take a nap so she'd be able to stay up later to eavesdrop on the house all night. Zakiyah and Michelle got together and wondered why Paul had put up Davonne. Michelle was very confused as she'd volunteered to go up since she wanted Bridgette gone. They decided it was likely Davonne was being backdoored and Bridgette would be safe. Bridgette being happy and relaxed and fooling around with the guys made them realize the dynamics of the house had changed.
Speaking of Bridgette, Michelle had tried to make peace with Bridgette earlier by confessing to Bridgette that her whole problem with Bridgette had simply been jealousy because Frank was spending time with Bridgette, but with Frank gone, Michelle was willing to let bygones be bygones. Bridgette isn't quite as willing to forgive and forget after being tortured by Michelle for the last six weeks.Bridgette later told Victor about this while they were goofing around in the kitchen.
The James and Natalie prank truce didn't last long as they then had a shaving cream war in the bathroom that ended more or less in a draw. Natalie then took a shower to wash off the shaving cream only to have James dump a handful of shampoo on her head as she was getting out of the shower forcing her to shower all over again.
Davonne meanwhile is now highly motivated to win HOH this week claiming she needs to get a letter from home. Davonne later confirmed to Zakiyah and Michelle that she got envelope number eight from the Paris room and both agreed that sounded like a lucky number. (Everyone knows about the Ocho in the Ocho Rios sign and the general consensus is that envelope eight may be special.)
Victor once again engaged in an eating challenge and downed a whole bag of cookies. Whoever does the shopping for Big Brother will likely encourage casting to never cast another Victor. He's keeping them busy constantly refilling the store room with food. Victor eats about the same amount of food as the other ten combined.
The divisions in the house are still pretty much as before. You've got Paulie as the leader with Paul, James, and Corey as his more or less loyal followers. The James/Natalie tiff seems to have made her safer in the short term as Paulie sees them as being less of a couple now. Victor thinks he's in with the guys but he's the fifth person in a four person alliance and they keep some stuff from him. Nicole still has Corey as her partner, but Corey seems more allied with the guys than Nicole. Nicole could be up and out next week. Davonne, Michelle and Zakiyah are pretty solid but know they're outnumbered. Zakiyah is playing a pretty quiet strategic game. She gets information from Paulie that she doesn't tell the girls and she gets information from the girls that she doesn't tell Paulie. She's trying to play both sides, but she'll have to pick a side in the near future. She's mostly just coasting along right now and she's going to have to start playing soon. Her game play to this point seems more focused on avoiding being a target than making any moves.
Davonne and Michelle know they're all alone. Bridgette knows the guys are just using her as a vote. Natalie knows the house probably best of anyone and knows she has two friends in James and Bridgette, but no real solid alliance. Nicole thinks she's in solidly with the guys and expects to be taken all the way to the end. As soon as she hears anything she races to Paulie to tell him. Zakiyah is confusing. Paulie wants her gone soon, but she glues herself to him, but she's also loyal to Davonne and Michelle.
There's potential for the girls to unite and make a move if one of them wins HOH this coming week. The guys aren't attempting to hide their alliance any longer. They meet in big groups and talk together then hush up when a girl joins them. They're openly calling Natalie FT (fake ti**ies) now after she admitted to having breast implants. They're making themselves into big targets. If the right girl wins HOH this week we could see the guys come toppling down.
Today should be a pretty quiet day. Nothing much happens on a Tuesday. The HOH camera comes out and the HOH writes his HOH blog. (Expect Paul's to include lots of references to "your boy.") The DR calls in house guests to refine any earlier DR's for additional footage they need for the Wednesday or Thursday shows. Davonne will be interesting to watch. You just know the pressure on her to explode is getting more and more intense. She knows enough to create some chaos in the house and could possibly split Victor from the boys, or at least make him question his position in the house.
Right now it looks like a near certainty that Davonne will leave on Thursday and if the Ocho Rios clue is right, she'll be turning right around and coming back. That should make the Thursday HOH comp pretty interesting. A win by Davonne would have much of the house scared to death. Davonne however, being Davonne would likely put up Nicole and do the guy's dirty work for them. Her hatred of Nicole might just be the death of her this year.
