These are some strange hamsters this year. Yesterday saw Davonne and Michelle team up to try and save Tiffany. After multiple discussions it looked like they had Nicole, Zakiyah and James also on board, so Tiffany would be safe. Nicole said she could get Corey on board too so they had more than enough votes to keep Tiffany. Then they had a discussion in the yard with Paulie who kept insisting Tiffany was Vanessa and that swung the tide the other way.
Nicole and Corey don't want to get Frank mad, and now don't want to evict Frank this week because Nicole feels that Frank is protecting them and keeping them safe. They're now on board with getting Davonne out this coming week instead of Frank. It now looks like everyone will be fighting and clawing to win HOH this week. Frank thinks he can control Michelle's HOH and wants her to win. (Frank is in a lot less control of Michelle than he thinks. I'm kind of intrigued to see how Michelle plays the game when she gets some power.)
In a somewhat ironic move that we see pretty much every year on Big Brother, the girls always want a showmance to take them farther in the game and protect them. Instead the showmance protects the guy, takes him farther in the game and gets the girl killed. About the only showmance that benefited the girl was Brendon and Rachel and that was only because Rachel was a competition beast.
When this season ends the girls will look back and say, "Oh, bleep! We could have dominated this thing if we'd only been a little smarter!" If they vote out Paul this week they'd have eight votes to four for the guys. Instead they're voting out a solid pro-girl vote in Tiffany to protect their showmances that will all likely end when the show ends.
Nicole thinks she's found something wonderful in Corey and thinks a true relationship is worth more than the $500,000. Yeah, not so much. That pairing won't last long in the real world as they've got a lot of country between the two of them and Corey doesn't seem all that into Nicole.
Things could change later today, but I doubt it. It looks like Tiffany will get sent packing this week, Davonne next week, and Frank will just dance along with his merry little band of puppets doing his bidding. It's a strange game sometimes.
