When last we left the house Paul and Bronte were the nominees with the plan to backdoor Victor to get him out this week. That plan is still in effect. The Road Kill competition took place yesterday and a hiccup got tossed into the plans when Victor won the Road Kill comp. Victor thinks he's in an alliance with Paulie, Paul, Corey, and Frank and that they've got enough girls in their pockets to rule the house. In truth Victor and Paul are largely on their own. The Spy Girls (Bridgette, Bronte and Natalie) have pretty much given up on the guys and are in survival mode working mostly with the other girls in the house.
The initial plan was for Victor to put up James. The theory of the Eight Pack was that this would let them have a powerful player competing for POV if Victor got picked. This idea was presented to Victor, who doesn't really care for James and his pranks all that much, but Victor wasn't sure if they had the votes to get rid of James. (Victor wants whoever he puts up to leave so his alliance with Paul and Bronte stays intact.) He suggested Nicole or Tiffany as options to Paulie.
Paulie then made the mistake of telling Tiffany, who's more than a tick emotional, that Victor was thinking of putting up James, Tiffany or Nicole. When Paulie left Nicole came along and Tiffany relayed this information to Nicole. Nicole then claimed that Tiffany told her that Nicole was definitely going up. (We don't know this as the feeds cut away while the two were talking.) Nicole was reassured that she was safe and James assured her that he was doing everything possible to get the nomination.
About this time Victor got called to the diary room and made his decision. He opted to nominate Tiffany thinking he had the votes to get her evicted. (He may, but more on that later.) He told Paulie this, and Paulie then told Frank this. Tiffany asked Frank if she was going up and he lied to her. (Uh oh! Bad idea Frank!) Tiffany who is pretty much never calm and chill then found out the truth from Paulie who also informed her that Frank knew. Paulie assured her repeatedly that they had the votes and she was safe. Pretty much everyone in the house has reassured Tiffany that she's safe and for the moment she's agreed to try and throw the POV comp if Victor isn't playing in it so Victor can't name the replacement, but if Victor is playing to play like mad so he can't pull down Paul.
The news that Tiffany was nominated was greeted with glee by both Davonne and Frank who have been working against Tiffany for some time now. They both wouldn't mind losing Tiffany and replacing her with Paulie who thinks he's already part of their alliance, but he really isn't. They both agree that Victor should still be their prime target but if things play out the wrong way they could both work to get rid of Tiffany this week. It's something to keep an eye on.
Bronte, Natalie, Tiffany are all solidly behind the plan for a girl to win this year. (As are Nicole, Bridgette, Michelle, Zakiyah and Davonne.) Bronte and Natalie have worked out a top secret Spy Girls communication system where they'll scratch their chests to communicate. If they use one finger it means good, if they use two fingers it means bad. It's a somewhat limited means of communication, but they're happy with it.
Today brings the picking of the POV players. We know Paul, Bronte, Tiffany (the three nominees) and Paulie (the HOH) will be playing. Paulie will then draw two names from the box for the final two house guests to play. (In previous seasons the experienced house guests could feel the printing on the discs and pull out the discs they prefer. I don't know if Cody told Paulie this or not, and most of the names this year are the same general length so counting the letters won't help a lot, but if he can feel the names he'll try to avoid pulling Victor's chip.) There are two scenarios at play, one if Victor plays in the POV and one if Victor doesn't. If Victor's name is drawn, everyone is to play like mad to keep Victor from winning. They don't want him winning and pulling Paul off the block. If Victor's name isn't pulled, then they don't care who wins as long as it isn't Tiffany and she's agreed to throw the comp in this case. If Tiffany were to win, then Victor would replace Tiffany and they couldn't backdoor Victor.
So, pretty much everything that happens this week will be decided in the picking of the POV players. If Victor's name is picked, then the fight will be on to beat him in the POV so he can still be backdoored. If Victor's name isn't picked, and Tiffany loses the POV as planned, then Victor will be going home on Thursday. It's kind of goofy when everything that happens from here on out is decided by the pulling of two names from a box, but that's Big Brother for you. By the way, they've more or less convinced Paul that if his name is pulled and he gets to pick someone to play for him, he should pick someone who's easier to beat in a comp than Victor. Bronte's already agreed not to choose Victor and she's fully on board with him going home this week. The odds favor Victor's name not being picked. There will be fourteen names in the box and only two names will get pulled from the box. Any name but Victor's will pretty much assure Victor is going home on Thursday.
So we've got two things to look for today. First, does Victor's name get pulled from the box? And second, do either Tiffany or Victor (if his name gets pulled) win the POV? If the answer to those two questions is no, then Victor goes bye bye on Thursday to face off against either Glenn or Jozea in the Battle Back competition. If the answer to the second question is yes, then things look bad for Paul or Bronte, or possibly Tiffany. Davonne and Frank will still be working to undermine Tiffany this week, but Tiffany has good support among the girls. This will be a challenging week for Tiffany as she's likely to be on the block all the way through Thursday knowing that she can't trust Frank and wondering if she's been the target the whole time. She won't breathe easily until after the eviction on Thursday.
Hey! Awesome update! Hope Victor gets his walking slip. Gonna b GREAT week in the BB house! Tiffany crying, Paul moping and Bronte ... Well doing absolutely nothing like she's done since she's walked through the door except for to scare everyone with the faces she makes.
ReplyDeleteVictor's name didn't get pulled to play for POV so he's almost certainly gone this week.
