Yesterday we had the POV ceremony where Paulie used the POV on Paul and put up Victor as a replacement. Victor took the news fairly well and started to campaign for votes. As of this minute, Victor seems to feel that he's a lock to stay this week. He's largely counting on Tifffany getting votes from Paul, Natalie and Bridgette who he thinks won't vote to evict either Bronte or him since they were all former allies. He's also canvassed the house and been told no one's voting to evict him. He's pretty much convinced the whole house is voting to evict Tiffany. In truth, everyone in the house, including his former allies, are voting to evict Victor.
In an effort to sell himself to the house, he's reminding everyone of how dominant he is in comps, both physical and mental. (Yeah. That's not such a great strategy to use to get votes. "Keep me and I'll beat you all!") Victor is essentially being mushroomed (kept in the dark and fed a steady diet of horse manure) until Thursday when he'll be voted out and go bye bye. He seems to be buying into what they're selling for now though, not that there's a lot he can do about it.
Bronte seems to be taking her nomination in stride and trusting that Victor is the real target. She was told that from the moment she was nominated and everything's going that way, so she's petty confident. She also knows that she has her fellow Spy Girl's (Bridgette and Natalie) votes anyway and while two votes won't keep you safe, it's a good start. The Spy Girls are also telling her that everyone is behind Victor going, so Bronte feels pretty safe.
Tiffany is still a tick worried about being on the block, but Nicole assured her yesterday that she was absolutely safe and had nothing to worry about, but expect Tiffany to need more reassurances as the week goes on. Tiffany is always a little paranoid and I'm not sure she hasn't heard whispers that Davonne and Frank are largely against her.
Speaking of Davonne, she spent nearly all day yesterday in the bathroom playing with her hair. She removed many of the braids then redid the braids. At last count she'd been working on her hair for something like sixteen hours.
The house guests were largely starving themselves through the early part of the day expecting BB to have a Fourth of July party for them. The Have Nots (Paul, Davonne and Zakiyah) were especially looking forward to a party. BB finally came through for them in the evening and had food brought in. That resulted in a blackout on the feeds while the house guests ate, drank, and celebrated. Parties help to keep the house guests a bit saner.
This coming week is Zakiyah's birthday and if things go according to plan, the Eight Pack wants her to win HOH for her birthday. I'm not sure Paul is on board with this, but he'll be out-voted by Davonne and Zakiyah, so if Team Big Sister wins the HOH the actual HOH will likely be Zakiyah.
If things work out as planned then Zakiyah will target Bronte. The guys in the house are getting pretty emphatic that a girl has to go this week to even up the odds, so we're apt to see Paul kept off the block and Natalie or Bridgette sharing the eviction couch with Bronte. Now, knowing Davonne and her ways, we could see her convince Zakiyah that it's time to make a big move and get rid of Frank should the opportunity to backdoor him arise. If the POV is won by anyone but Frank this week, and his team isn't safe by winning the HOH, he could find himself backdoored. That could be fun to watch. Frank would know he was in big, big trouble if he got backdoored and I don't think he'd go quietly.
Frank is really wearing out his welcome in the house and while he's still got solid support from Corey and Paulie, the rest of the house seems willing to let him go at this stage of the game. I've reached a point where I doubt that Frank will make it to the jury. He should make jury based on the numbers, (Paul, Bridgette, Natalie and Bronte not being part of the Eight Pack) but his game play has been a bit much lately and I could see him going out in the near future.
Assuming we have a nine person jury and allowing for a pre-jury return of a formerly evicted house guest, we're looking at the jury starting around that first Thursday in August. We've got fourteen house guests now (fifteen if you count the returnee) and we have to get down to eleven (the two finalists and the nine person jury) so we're about four or five weeks away from the first juror. That'll also be about the time for the next big BB party, the halfway mark.
Today and tomorrow should be pretty quiet days in the house. The competitions are all done, the ceremonies are all done. The nominees are who they are. Pretty much everyone has already decided who they're voting out, and they're all just treading water waiting for Thursday. We'll likely see lots of time spent in the yard today as chances are they'll be back on an indoor lock down starting sometime tomorrow as the yard is prepped for the HOH comp on Thursday. They likely won't see the yard again until Sunday, so they'll be taking advantage of it today while they've got it.
